Newark Delaware Travel Information
Newark has a population of around 30,000 residents, including the
student population at the University of Delaware, the state’s largest
university. Newark has a number of accommodations for visiting
families and prospective students. The town is a nice blend of quiet,
small town, but is within one or two hours of several major
cities. Newark is located in the northeast part of the state,
close to the Maryland/Delaware border and just south of the
Pennsylvania border. It is a centrally located area, great for day
trips to New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. Wilmington and
Baltimore—all of which are less than two hours from Newark.
